Idaho Central Credit Union Gains Naming Rights to Aquatic Center

Idaho Central Aquatics Center to open later this Spring with extensive aquatics programming

BOISE, Idaho (January 20, 2023) – Idaho Central Credit Union has secured the inaugural naming rights to the Greater Boise Aquatics Center. The new state-of-the-art Idaho Central Aquatics Center will open to the public in the coming months and host one of the largest annual youth swim meets in the Western United States later this summer.

“We are thrilled to have a partnership with Idaho Central Credit Union, who recognized both our vision and ability to bring a much-needed aquatics resource to our growing community,” said Ryan Stratton, co-founder and co-developer of the aquatic center. “ICCU is a trusted resource and committed member of communities across Idaho and their belief in our project will open new opportunities to current and future generations, while saving lives with critical water safety lessons.”

The Idaho Central Aquatics Center is expected to open later this Spring and provide programming that includes water safety classes and swim lessons for all ages and abilities, aqua fitness and therapy classes, competitive swim and water polo clubs, and lifeguarding and first aid classes. It will also host the WRS Summer Sectional Championships on July 13-16. Events such as these will provide significant economic benefits to the area, and the Center is well positioned to attract more in the coming years.

“On behalf of our team and members at Idaho Central, we are proud to be part of Idaho history with the opening of a world-class aquatics facility and vibrant community resource,” said Brenda Worrell, CEO, Idaho Central Credit Union. “We focus on ways to support our communities and we believe the new Idaho Central Aquatics Center will help provide a wide range of benefits to the area.”

The Greater Boise Aquatic Foundation continues to seek additional funds and donations to help open and operate the center, and several naming rights opportunities are still available. Those interested in supporting the aquatic center via donations or naming rights opportunities can contact Nick Gaggiano at nick@gbacswim.com.

Individuals and businesses can also purchase a commemorative brick to honor their family, loved ones or organizations to be placed at the Center as part of Treasure Valley history.
